Jake E. Lee was shot three times in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, last Tuesday, the 15th. Shortly after being taken to the ICU of a city hospital, a representative for Lee confirmed that the musician was conscious, responding well to treatment, and that his full recovery is expected.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal Ozzy Osbourne guitarist was in front of his residence at 2:40 a.m., going out to walk his dog, when he was shot in the forearm, back – where the bullet broke one of his ribs – and foot. No vital organs were hit.
One of Lee's neighbors heard the gunshots, hid his children, grabbed his gun, and called 911, the United States' emergency number. The musician's dog escaped unharmed.
Police have stated that the shooting may have been "completely random," and are still investigating the incident. No one has been arrested so far.
