Jager Henry, grandson of John Bonham, will release a new single in February.

The song will be released on February 9th and will be part of an EP.

Jager Henry , grandson of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham , will release his new single “Bleed” on February 9th. The song will be part of an EP, the release date of which has not yet been announced.

Blabbermouth website , Jager said that the single is inspired by the idea of his guardian angel not being present or ignoring him, stating that he has dealt with this in the past when he was "stuck at rock bottom".

“The song was also written so that viewers or listeners could draw their own story from it, whether they saw my image of the angel or saw him as a partner or friend. That’s the beauty of the song. For the video, I wanted almost the opposite, I opted for a grunge and dirty look, with more scenes of performances with mannequins wrapped in plastic, representing the world of people, all covered up, hiding who they are,” added the singer.

Henry decided to follow a slightly different path from his grandfather and father — Jason Bonham , a drummer like John — and traded the drumsticks for the microphone, in addition to betting on a sound geared towards pop-punk.

Why doesn't Jager Henry use the surname 'Bonham'?

According to Blabbermouth , the reason behind the decision not to use the iconic surname is quite simple:

“People always talked about me because of my last name, so I thought: why not change it up a bit? Basically, I took my last name and replaced it with my middle name, which ended up sounding good.”
