Jack Russell , former vocalist of the glam metal band Great White , has died at the age of 63.
The news was shared on the singer's social media accounts last Thursday, the 15th. According to the post, Jack passed away "peacefully" in the presence of friends and family, including his wife, son, and cousin. Details about a public memorial will be released in the future. The family has requested privacy during this time of mourning.
"Jack is loved and remembered for his sense of humor, his exceptional zest for life, and his indescribable contribution to rock and roll, where his legacy will flourish forever," the post says.
The cause of Jack Russell's death has not been officially announced. The vocalist announced his retirement from the stage just a month ago, due to a rare diagnosis of Lewy body dementia and multiple system atrophy. "I am unable to perform at the level I want to and the level you deserve," the singer wrote at the time (via Rolling Stone ).
