She says she was a fan of Kurt Cobain

The daughter of the President of the United States, Ivanka Trump, revealed that she had a "punk phase" in the 90s and mourned Kurt Cobain.

Her mother, Ivana, left some pages of her autobiography , Raising Trump, so that Ivanka could recount what it was like growing up in the Trump mansion.

“During my punk phase in the 90s, I really liked Nirvana. My wardrobe consisted only of ripped jeans and flannel shirts. One day after school, I dyed my hair blue. My mother didn't like it very much. She looked at me and immediately went to a drugstore to buy dye and made me go back to blonde hair that same day. The color she chose was actually three shades lighter than my natural color… and I never went back!”

Ivanka continues to reminisce about moments from her adolescence when she talks about Kurt Cobain's death.

“Not long after, Kurt Cobain, the lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist of Nirvana, committed suicide. It was a shock, and I was distraught. My mother had no idea who Kurt Cobain was, and she didn't quite understand my grief. After crying inconsolably in my room for 24 hours, my mother had to take me out of my room to go to dinner.”
