Ivan Moody , vocalist of Five Finger Death Punch , fractured his rib while performing at the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky, United States, last Thursday, the 26th.

Ivan slipped on stage and suffered the injury during the song "IOU," with two songs remaining in the set. Despite the accident, the vocalist still managed to finish the show. See the moment of the singer's fall below:

The following day, Moody shared (via Instagram) a video from the hospital: “After the adrenaline wore off this morning, I woke up and I have a bruise that’s going down from the inside of my armpit to my knee and my hand looks like it’s broken. So we’ll see.”

After receiving the diagnosis, Ivan later returned with an update: “So here’s the diagnosis: broken rib. It’s got to be a joke. It’s always something, man. Well, I’ll say this, it was worth it.”

The band performed on the first day of the festival, which had its second day canceled due to heavy rains affecting the United States. Furthermore, due to a fracture suffered by their vocalist, Five Finger Death Punch had to cancel their participation as a support band for Metallica , which takes place this Sunday, the 29th, in Mexico. The group's next performance is scheduled for October 11th at the Aftershock festival, which is still on.

A concert-goer since way back when (does a Sandy & Junior concert count?). Born into a "Heavy Rock" cradle (thanks, Dad). A teenager during the Nu Metal era. Shaped by the scrapes and bruises of the Curitiba underground mosh pits. A poser of mainstream bands. Today, a renowned (in my wife's eyes) sommelier of Metal in general. An unrestrained individual in the creation of useless Spotify playlists and with a suspicious taste for other musical genres (who doesn't like the Backstreet Boys?). Former vocalist of several imaginary bands. I love concerts so much that my son was even born at one (Metallica 2022 Curitiba), and envious people will say it was planned. The worst insult I ever committed was calling someone a pagodeiro (a type of Brazilian samba singer). And yes! I know Manowar.
