Ivan Busic, founder and drummer of Dr. Sin, releases this Wednesday, the 10th, “My Blues and You”, a blues ballad for fans of the three Kings: BB King, Freddie King and Albert King. After introducing the public to the captivating atmosphere of “Let the Night Roll in”, the frontman further deepens his connection with the genre in this second single.
“This song has something very special for me,” reveals the artist. “I usually say that the notes I sing and play mainly come from the melodies I heard in the voice and trumpet of my father, André Busic. This one, in particular, carries his melodic signature, which I absorbed since childhood and during the decades we played blues together. As Luiz Carlini, he played and sang with elegance in every note. I dedicate the song to my wife, Nathalia, who was the great inspiration when I wrote it. I hope you like it and that it touches your hearts.”
The track anticipates the release of the new album, Into the Blues, which will be available in August. The work is born as a tribute to his late father, a fundamental figure in his musical development, while also marking a new stage in his artistic journey, expanding his creative horizons. Although rock continues to occupy a central role in his career, the blues remains one of his strongest facets, and the upcoming project represents Ivan's first major opportunity to delve more deeply into this universe.
