Guitarist has doubts regarding new headliners
As part of an interview given on September 19th at Rock In Rio, Metallica Kirk Hammett stated that there aren't many new bands with the potential to be the big headliners of the future.
“It’s hard to say… Maybe Muse, but they’re already headliners today. Maybe Queens Of The Stone Age, I don’t know…” says Hammett.
“There really aren’t many bands with that kind of promise. It’s a problem, I think. Because of things like iTunes and streaming and social media that have destroyed music. They’ve destroyed the motivation to go out there and make the best album possible. It’s a shame.”
