A poll conducted by Wikimetal concluded that readers consider Chester Bennington irreplaceable as the vocalist for Linkin Park.
Mike Shinoda , frontman of Linkin Park , recently spoke in an interview about the band's future.
“We all thrive on making and performing music,” Shinoda said. “I know the guys, they love being on stage, they love being in the studio. So, not doing that wouldn’t be healthy.”
Shinoda said that the goal now is not to find a new vocalist, but that he is not ruling out the possibility.
Therefore, Wikimetal asked its readers who could take over as Linkin Park's vocalist. We listed five possibilities suggested by our editorial team and one option where Chester Bennington would be irreplaceable.
This was the most popular option, with more than half the votes. 54% of readers did not want Chester Bennington to be replaced by anyone. In second place, and therefore the most voted vocalist to take his place, was Oli Sykes , from Bring Me The Horizon . He received 15% of the votes.
In third place was Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch , with 10% of the votes.
Regardless of what decision Linkin Park makes about replacing Chester or not, the singer's voice and image are irreplaceable in the hearts of his fans.
