Iron Maiden voted best show.

This week's Wikimetal poll, "What's the best show?", resulted in Iron Maiden with 36% of the votes. Metallica came in second with 27%, and AC/DC in third with 21%.

Maiden's history of grandiose shows in Brazil dates back to 1985, when the World Slavery Tour passed through here on the opening night of the first Rock in Rio.

Since then, the band has returned to the country 9 times, performing shows lasting over 2 hours, all preceded by the UFO song "Doctor, Doctor". From that moment on, fans go wild with the band's greatest hits, Eddie's entrance, and the finale with the song "Iron Maiden".

Besides the final song, which has been performed 1797 times in concerts to date, the most played songs live by Iron Maiden in history were “Hallowed Be Thy Name” (1601 times) and “The Number Of The Beast” (1589 times).

Now we just have to wait until 2013 to check it out at Rock in Rio!
