The track celebrates his time as the band's keyboardist
Tony Moore, former keyboardist for Iron Maiden, has released a song in tribute to his time in the band.
“Made In 77”, recalling the year he was part of Iron Maiden, features an original composition by Moore that, according to him, “represents how Iron Maiden would have sounded if he had remained in the band's lineup”.
The musician joined the band in 1977 when it was not yet the worldwide success it is today. The lineup remained together for only a short time, leading to Moore's dismissal, as the other band members felt that the keyboard didn't suit their sound.
His career took off in 1986 when he joined Cutting Crew as their official keyboardist. Later, Moore opened The Kashmir Club, which closed in 2003, and hosted the show Let's Talk Music .
