Steve Harris stated that he does not rule out the possibility of Iron Maiden holding a grand farewell event, similar to Back to the Beginning , the historic concert in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath .
In a recent interview with Metal Hammer , Harris made it clear that, although nothing is confirmed, he views the idea favorably. “We don’t usually look back. I know we released the book [referring to the 50th-anniversary anthology, Infinite Dreams ] and we’ve been focused on that, but we’re usually more interested in what comes next. It seems like some people would like that to happen, but I don’t know. We’ll see.”
The reflection arises amidst the impressive longevity of the British group, which remains active after almost five decades on the road. Despite speculation, Steve Harris reaffirms that there are no immediate retirement plans, Kerrang magazine . “I don’t think about retiring. However, we all know that it will come at some point, when one thing or another forces you to. I’ll keep in shape, playing football, tennis and such, but you never know what’s coming next. So, you have to make the most of it while you can, enjoy every show for the pleasure of it. In a way, I’m afraid to stop, to slow down. But playing these shows brings back that old feeling,” he concluded.
Iron Maiden remains committed to touring and future projects, maintaining an active schedule and high demand from audiences in different countries. Currently, the band has announced its highly anticipated arrival in Brazil for a single show on October 25, 2026, as part of the Run for Your Lives World Tour .
