It's not a new single yet! While September 3rd hasn't arrived yet, Iron Maiden has been preparing fans for the release of the album Senjutsu , maintaining a certain air of mystery. Recently, however, the band gave a taste of what's to come by publishing a behind-the-scenes video of the highly anticipated project.

Last Monday, the 16th, the Iron Maiden released a special version of the single "The Writing On The Wall" containing the sound effects from the animated music video. The production caused a huge stir when it was released on July 15th, not only because it was Iron Maiden's first new song in five years, but also because of the large number of riddles the band left along the way until the release date.

The video for “The Writing On The Wall” is an animated short film full of hidden Easter eggs and references to both the Bible and Iron Maiden's history. We at Wikimetal have compiled over 20 references you may have missed, so you can find them while waiting for the grand Senjutsu to arrive.
