After releasing "Aces High," the opening track from their upcoming album Nights of the Dead (to be released on November 20th), Iron Maiden has also released the epic 11-minute track, "Sign of the Cross."

The live album titled Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City will be Iron Maiden's first release since The Book of Souls: Live Chapter , which was also a live album.

Nights of the Dead was recorded in September 2019 at a sold-out arena show in Mexico City. The band played the iconic setlist from the Legacy of the Beast , which includes songs from their first album up to A Matter of Life and Death .

According to bassist Steve Harris , the idea to release the album came after the cancellation of the rest of the tour due to the pandemic: "We thought about looking at some recordings from the tour to try and create a live album as a gift for everyone, so that everyone could enjoy it," he said.

Harris says he was very pleased with the result, mainly because the band was able to include songs from the setlist that had never been released on other live albums by the group, such as "For the Greater Good of God," "Where Eagles Dare," and "Sign of the Cross.".

Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City will be officially released on November 20th in digital and physical formats, on CD and vinyl. To pre-order your copy, click here.
