Rock and metal were at their peak in 1982, with the release of landmark albums from bands like Iron Maiden , Scorpions , and Kiss , which were voted the best of that year by Wikimetal .

We published a poll with 11 contenders to find out the favorite album of our followers. In first place, there was little doubt that The Number of the Beast would be the champion, with 51% of the total votes.

In second place was Blackout by Scorpions, receiving 16% of the votes, followed by Creatures of the Night by Kiss, with 9% of all votes. Also worth mentioning are the albums Screaming For Vengeance by Judas Priest and Iron Fist by Motörhead , which made it into the Top 5.
