Iron Maiden: School principal in Canada faces censure from parents for being a fan of the band

Parents of students at the school gathered to start a petition for the transfer of the principal

A school principal in Canada has faced criticism from some parents for being a fan of Iron Maiden, according to iHeartRadio.

According to the report, Sharon Burns, principal of Eden High School, has faced censorship after posting a photo on her social media wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt. In the background of the photo there is also a flag of the mascot Eddie . See below.

Led by Debbi Lynn , the mother of one of the students, the parents started an online petition demanding the immediate transfer of the principal, claiming that she promotes satanic symbols and is allied with demonic practices.

The petition further accuses Sharon Burns' conduct of being "inappropriate, unprofessional, and at odds with the morals and conduct policies of the St. Catharines Society in Ontario, Canada."
