Among releases from Rush, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Joan Jett, and Judas Priest , among others, the English band's second studio album won with 29% of the votes.
Released on February 2, 1981, Killers was the first to feature guitarist Adrian Smith and the last with vocalist Paul Di'Anno , who was fired after struggling with alcohol and drug abuse. The album also marked the debut of Martin Birch, who after Killers produced all of Maiden's work until 1992.
Moving Pictures " came in second place with 24% of the vote, while "Diary of a Madman " and For Those About to Rock " took 12% and 10% of the vote, respectively. See the full results below.
