Iron Maiden has joined the select group of bands honored by the British Royal Post . The Iron Maiden now has a collection of 12 stamps featuring images of the band performing live from 1980 to 2018. The collection also pays homage to their mascot, Eddie .

Correio Real had already paid tribute to 4 legendary bands: The Beatles in 2007, Pink Floyd in 2016, Queen in 2020 and The Rolling Stones last year.

Iron Maiden founder, bassist and leader Steve Harris said: “We were completely stunned – in a great way – when we were told about this commemorative project. And we were speechless when we saw the stamps for the first time. They are wonderful and I think they capture the essence of Iron Maiden. We are all very proud that the Royal Post Office chose us to honour the band’s legacy in this way. And we know our fans will feel the same way,” the bassist added.

The stamps are already available for pre-order . The official sale starts on the 12th and will cost £17.70 (approximately R$115.00 at today's exchange rate). The website also offers other Iron Maiden stamp options in different formats and packages.
