Band relaunches digital catalog
Iron Maiden has made its entire album catalog available for iTunes in a fully remastered format. Band founder Steve Harris selected 15 studio albums, 2 compilations, and 2 live albums to be reworked.
Harris comments: “Mastering for iTunes allows the listener to have a musical experience closer to what the artist intended. So obviously I was interested in working on Maiden's discography for that purpose. The albums were already available digitally before, when this medium was launched, but it was all done with CDs in mind. The process for iTunes involves a whole different method of delivering the music to fans in a pure way. We did it as carefully as possible.”
The albums are now available on the iTunes platform .
