Iron Maiden receives award for contribution to English music

The band expresses its gratitude for the honor

Iron Maiden will receive the O2 Silver Clef award, given to artists who have made history through their "illustrious contribution to English music." Previous recipients of this honor include The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page.

The O2 Silver Clef is an honor bestowed by the Nordoff Robbins charity, which works with music therapy for children and adults with disabilities. In 2015, Nordoff Robbins celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The band commented on the award: “Nordoff Robbins is an exceptional charity and its dedication to changing people’s lives through music is something we all strongly support. We are very proud to receive the O2 Silver Clef Award and to be part of the organization’s 40th anniversary.”
