Iron Maiden concludes 'The Future Past' tour and promises something special for 2025.

With the promise of presenting "things never done before," expectations are rising for the 2025 tour.

Iron Maiden , one of the most legendary heavy metal bands, ended 2024 triumphantly with a special video starring their vocalist Bruce Dickinson .

Celebrating the end of The Future Past , Dickinson shared the band's next steps on their official social media accounts

Titled Run For Your Lives , the tour will celebrate Iron Maiden's impressive 50-year career milestone. The tour will kick off in May 2025 in Budapest, Hungary, with dates already confirmed through August in Warsaw, Poland.

Bruce emphasized that the tour will be something completely different: “If you’ve seen us before, get ready for an even more intense experience. And if you’ve never had the chance to see us live, this is your opportunity!”

Last September, the band promised the public “a spectacular and elaborate show” in their 50th anniversary celebration (via Blabbermouth ).

The tour promises to be a unique and completely new experience, especially for those who have already secured tickets – which, according to Bruce, is already a reality, as most tickets are sold out.

And for those who can't see the band next year, there's good news: the tour will extend into 2026, visiting places not included in the 2025 itinerary.

New information about the setlist

When providing more details, Dickinson stated that the band will keep the setlist, but will include songs that haven't been performed live in a long time.

In an official announcement , the band stated that the tour's setlist will focus on their first nine albums, from Iron Maiden to Fear of the Dark .

It's worth noting that many of these hits haven't been performed live in years. According to the group themselves, it's unlikely they'll be included in future tours, which will make each show even more special.

Furthermore, the tour marks a significant new development for fans: the debut of Simon Dawson as a touring drummer, replacing Nicko McBrain . McBrain said goodbye to the band during the show held in São Paulo in early December 2024.

This change has generated great anticipation, as Nicko was one of the most iconic members of the group's lineup.

Special guest appearances on the new tour

The band, when announcing the first dates of the tour, took the opportunity to tell fans that they would be bringing special guests to the stage throughout the performances.

The guests for the first half of the tour, including the outdoor shows in London and Dublin, will be the American band Halestorm .

In the second half of the tour, the Swedish band Avatar will be the opening act.

Finally, the British metal band The Raven Age will open all the shows in the UK and Ireland.
