The festival takes place in June.
The Sweden Rock festival announced this week the lineup for its 2018 edition. Featuring big names in Rock and Metal, the event will take place between June 6th and 9th in Norje, Sweden.
Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, and Judas Priest have been confirmed as headliners for the festival, joining major bands such as Helloween, Stone Sour, Yes, and Kreator, among others.
With four days of pure rock music, the festival had its first edition in 1992 when it was still called Sommarfestivalen (Summer Festival). After a few name changes – Karlshamn Rock Festival and Swedish Rock Festival – the event solidified itself as one of the most famous festivals of the genre.
Expanding with each edition, Sweden Rock takes place in a region far from large cities and offers a camping area for the public.
Bands such as Kiss, Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses, Rush, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden, and Volbeat have participated in previous years, drawing over 33,000 fans from 50 different countries.
