Iron Maiden has a legion of extremely dedicated fans, but David Winter is certainly on another level. The musician created a drum medley featuring all the songs from the band's discography, from their debut album to Senjutsu (2021).
In total, there are 170 tracks that have been summarized in a 35-minute video in which excerpts from all the songs are played in a continuous line, with a caption indicating which song is playing, in case you don't have time to recognize it before the next one comes on.
“This is the biggest, best, and most important project I’ve ever undertaken. It’s highly unlikely I’ll do anything better, and I definitely won’t do anything more important,” the fan wrote. “I’ve worshipped Iron Maiden for as long as I can remember. Nicko McBrain shaped my playing more than any other drummer. He’s been my hero behind the kit since I first saw Flight 666 at the age of nine. I remember being blown away by everything I was seeing and hearing.”
The musician explained that this idea took seven years to develop and involved over a thousand hours of active work to create the perfect medley, with three different versions before arriving at the impressive final result, shared on Maiden's official page. Watch below.
