The wait is over: Senjutsu Iron Maiden 's seventeenth studio album , was released this Friday, September 3rd.
The successor to The Book of Souls (2015), the new album was announced in July with a grand campaign of mysteries following the single “The Writing on The Wall” , which arrived with a music video full of easter eggs and references to the band's past. To the public's surprise, a second single was released: “Stratego” marked a then-unprecedented feat in the British band's career.
The 82-minute album was recorded in 2019 during breaks in the Legacy of the Beast Tour and spent two years "locked in a vault" to prevent leaks.
