New beer is a tribute to The Red and The Black.
Iron Maiden has announced a new type of beer from their "Trooper" brand that will be commercially available starting in September of this year.
The new beer is a Porter , a dark beer with 6.8% alcohol content, and will be called "Trooper Red 'N' Black," a reference to the song "The Red And The Black" from Iron Maiden's new album, "The Book Of Souls."

"Trooper Red 'N' Black" is the third beer released by Iron Maiden in partnership with Robinsons Brewery and was once again designed by vocalist Bruce Dickinson, who commented:
“I like to try unusual things, and Stouts and Porters are unfamiliar to me, so I had to rely on my gut feeling. We hope we've found a new angle on a classic beer that I think will pleasantly and unexpectedly surprise Ale fans.”.
