Iron Maiden released their first studio album in 1980 and have released 16 albums to date. That's a lot of songs, and now, thanks to a fan, we know the word most frequently used in their lyrics.
A dedicated fan posted a map on Iron Maiden's Reddit page showing the 25 most frequently used words in the band's lyrics. The top spot was occupied by "know" – unlike Metallica's most used word, which was "never," as we mentioned here.
“Know” surpassed words like “now”, “time”, “just”, “see”, “when” and more, as you can see in the chart below. Incredibly, the most used word in Maiden's songs has never actually been used in a song title, the closest being “The Great Unknown”, from the 2015 album Book of Souls .
