The Rock in Rio organization released a festival app for the 2019 edition, which included the stage schedule, a map of the City of Rock, brand experiences, information on services and food, and more.

Available for iOS and Android, the app also syncs with the wristband that fans must register to attend the event. Speaking about the matter, Rock in Rio CEO Luis Justo explained: “It will be the biggest Rock in Rio of all time, and to make the most of the experiences the festival offers, planning is essential, and that's why the app is crucial for this organization.”

With the essential information needed to attend the festival, the app also shows the stage schedule, indicating that on October 4th, Metal Day, Scorpions closing the night, despite Iron Maiden being the headliner.

Speaking to G1 , Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs explained the reason for the change in schedule: “Generally, we close the festivals. I'm already used to this schedule. I know, of course, that Iron Maiden is the main attraction. But the guys from Iron Maiden prefer to play early and asked us to play later. We accepted, no problem.”

This will be Iron Maiden's fourth time at Rock in Rio. Bruce Dickinson , the band's vocalist, told G1 that the show will be "almost the same" as the Legacy of the Beast . The band will also be playing in São Paulo and Porto Alegre during their time in Brazil.
