Senjutsu Iron Maiden 's seventeenth studio album , was released last Friday, September 3rd.

As is customary, since the album was released, fans have been trying to guess who played each of the solos included in the 82-minute record, which was recorded in 2019 during breaks in the Legacy of the Beast Tour .

The final tally shows Adrian Smith with 13 solos in 9 songs. Janick Gers played 10 solos in 8 songs, while Dave Murray played 8 solos in 8 songs.

The album was also the subject of an episode of The Wikimetal Happy Hour and podcast #330 , with a special appearance by Bruno Sutter , in which the impeccable quality of Bruce Dickinson was praised. The vocalist recorded part of the album using crutches after rupturing his Achilles tendon on tour. Senjutsu also marks the singer's recovering from throat cancer
