In February of this year, the first four remastered titles were released on CD: Iron Maiden, Killers, The Number Of The Beast, and Piece Of Mind . While release dates are still unknown, eight more projects are scheduled for release this year.
Iron Maiden's fifth studio album, Powerslave, was originally released on September 3, 1984. In 2017, it was voted the 38th best metal album of all time by Rolling Stone . Somewhere In Time is the group's sixth studio album, released on September 29, 1986. This album came a year after the release of Iron Maiden's first live project, Live After Death . The main theme of the album artwork is based on the film Blade Runner , starring Harrison Ford .
Two years later, the musicians released their seventh studio album, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son . This project was the last with guitarist Adrian Smith , who left the band for a period, only returning in 1999. No Prayer For The Dying is the band's eighth studio album, released in 1990. After two projects marked by the use of keyboards and synthesizers, the intention with this album was to return to the band's origins.
