Several laws protecting the "Iron Maiden" trademark have been broken.

The lawsuit, filed on January 23rd in the state of Illinois, alleges that counterfeiters are profiting from the band's name, logo, reputation, and image, and violating several American trademark laws.

Iron Maiden has its own official online store, and according to the band, other stores that do not have the acquired rights are designed to look like an authorized and genuine reseller of Iron Maiden products.

The band is requesting compensation in the range of $2 million or the transfer of all profits resulting from these operations.
