Iron Maiden's manager comments on the Eddfest event in Knebworth
In a statement [transcribed via Igor Miranda ], Rod Smallwood said: “After the monumental shows we did in England last year, we knew that if we were to play in the country in 2026, it would have to be something very different. We chose Knebworth Park because it gives us the necessary space — something that is simply not possible in stadiums — to create something innovative for our fans, building a true Maiden World .”
“We know that Maiden fans are essentially one big family, and we want to give them an unforgettable weekend in Knebworth. On past tours, we’ve organized Eddie Dive Bars before and after the shows. Some of them have even taken over entire city centers, with thousands of fans gathering to enjoy the fun, the music, and each other’s company. Eddfest will expand on this concept in many ways, creating a true and unmissable Maiden World throughout the weekend! There will be plenty of quality music, great beer (of course!), a variety of exciting activities, exclusive souvenirs and merchandise, unique photo opportunities and unforgettable memories — and, of course, the true camaraderie that comes from being a Maiden fan.”
