Iron Maiden drummer launches Nicko McBrain's Drum One store
Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain announced the opening of his first drum shop, Nicko McBrain's Drum One, during the NAMM music trade show in California. The announcement took place at the Sonor booth.
Located in Manchester, England, the store has dedicated spaces for Paiste and Sonor. All major drum and percussion brands will also be available.
Formerly known as Manchester Drum Centre since 1983, the store was acquired in November 2017. In addition to Nicko, the project brings together former Premier Drums general manager Craig Buckleu, and Sam McGoran, who worked for many years at Drum Centre, remains as sales manager and also becomes a shareholder in the business.
Nicko said, “I am extremely excited to be a part of this wonderful adventure. It’s a different job than usual, but nonetheless, it’s something I’m ready to take on. I’m very grateful to Craig and Sam for giving me this wonderful opportunity to embrace and serve the retail side of the percussion world and grateful to YOU! I look forward to the commitment, dedication, and experience that is Nicko McBrain’s Drum One .
