Following the example of several other rock and metal acts , Iron Maiden has announced the cancellation of its shows in Russia and Ukraine.
In a statement, the band expressed regret over the incident and declared that the safety of the fans comes first. “We are very sorry to announce that, due to the ongoing situation in Ukraine, the promoters have cancelled the two Iron Maiden shows scheduled for May 29th in Kyiv and July 1st in Moscow on the 2022 Legacy Of The Beast
"Those who purchased tickets for both dates will receive information from the promoters regarding refunds at the appropriate time. Our priority is, and always will be, the safety of our fans," the statement concludes. Other acts that canceled their performances in cities in Ukraine and Russia include Bring Me The Horizon , Green Day , Slipknot , and Måneskin .
