Iron Maiden performs historic show in London, at West Ham's stadium.

On June 28th, Iron Maiden played for the first time at London Stadium, home of West Ham United. This is the favorite team of bassist Steve Harris , therefore the show had a special meaning for the band.

The stadium is located near the area where Harris, guitarists Dave Murray and Adrian Smith , and former drummer Nicko McBrain were born. Furthermore, the audience was estimated at between 70,000 and 75,000 people, larger than at any other UK concert by the band outside of festivals.

This performance marked the 15th with new drummer Simon Dawson , who took over the position in December 2024. Additionally, the show celebrated the band's 50th anniversary.

Rod Smallwood makes appeal against cell phones during concerts.

Before the start of the tour, Rod Smallwood published a statement on the official website. In it, he asked fans to enjoy the live shows without relying so much on their cell phones. According to him, excessive use of these devices disrupts both the band and the other fans.

Smallwood explained that the audience's energy is essential to the experience. However, the obsession with cell phones was distracting from the focus. Therefore, he asked for common sense and respect from the fans.

Simon Dawson takes over on drums in the band's new phase.
