Iron Maiden is on fire! Just hours after announcing their return to the studio , the group revealed they will be releasing a live album titled Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City.
Nights of the Dead was recorded in September 2019 at a sold-out arena show in Mexico City. The band played the iconic setlist from the Legacy of the Beast , which includes songs from their first album up to A Matter of Life and Death .
According to bassist Steve Harris in a statement to the press, the idea to release the album came after the cancellation of the rest of the tour due to the pandemic: "We thought about looking at some recordings from the tour to try and create a live album as a gift for everyone, so that everyone could enjoy it," he said.
Harris says he was very pleased with the result, mainly because the band was able to include songs from the setlist that had never been released on other live albums by the group, such as "For the Greater Good of God", "Where Eagles Dare", "Flight of Icarus" and "Sign of the Cross".
Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City will be officially released on November 20th in digital and physical formats, on CD and vinyl. To pre-order your copy, click here. See the album cover and tracklist below.
