Guitarist says Sabbath may release new music

On the red carpet at the Q Awards, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi was interviewed by Gigwise to discuss the band's plans.

Iommi spoke about seeing his former bandmate Bill Ward at the Ivor Novello Award ceremony in May: “It was cool, it was really great to see Bill. We still talk. It was a warm feeling .” But immediately afterwards, the guitarist was asked if there were any chances of seeing the original drummer back in the band for the final tour : “No. To be honest, no. But who knows, you never know.”

The musician also said that there is a possibility of releasing new material, with leftover recordings from the album 13, released in 2013: "We recorded 16 songs but only put 8 on the album, so I think new tracks may be released at some point."

Tony Iommi received the Gibson Les Paul Award this year for his contribution to the world of music.
