The documentary series, titled Into the Void , will premiere on the Hulu platform this year. The new series will have eight parts and is being produced by Vice Studios Canada. It has not yet been confirmed when the documentary will be released in Brazil.
The series will "tell the emotional sagas behind the greatest legends and unforgettable artists of heavy metal." It also promises to "go behind the scenes, into the real lives of heavy metal icons," according to Deadline .
Into the Void is in production, with Evan Husney and Jason Eisener , the team behind the professional wrestling documentary series Dark Side of the Ring .
Husney commented on his official Instagram account: “New project alert. Super excited to finally share what @jasoneisener and I have been working on these past few years. Coming to @hulu in 2025.”
“We both grew up as huge metal fans and have always been fascinated by the boundaries between fantasy and reality. The sonic worlds created by the genre’s most audacious icons are rich with untold stories and unimaginable trials and tribulations, and we’re excited to team up with Hulu to look beyond the mystical and show these legends as real people.”
“A full lineup of episodes detailing the stories we’ll be exploring will be announced closer to the series launch next year – we can’t wait to share it with the world!”, he concluded.
So far, no specific band has been mentioned as participating in the series.
