In an interview with Wikimetal, Dave Mustaine talked about the composition of "Dystopia," Kiko Loureiro joining the band, and also explained why he no longer speaks about political issues. The full interview can be heard below, with and without translation. Check out some excerpts:

Regarding Kiko Loureiro in the album:

“The song Conquer or Die has the best story. He was playing acoustic at my house one day and it was fabulous. And I said, 'We need to do something like Eruption or Spanish Fly, or something like Randy Rhoads, because we need to showcase his acoustic talents' because, you know, he's really very good. And when we got to the studio, he had worked on Conquer Or Die. The first part is entirely his, the second half is me. And I think that was the first song I heard him do a solo on, and it was breathtaking.”

Regarding how he got in touch with Kiko:

“Firstly, the name Kiko Loureiro sounds Finnish to me. The 'Loureiro' part, of course, sounds more Brazilian, but Kiko to me was a Finnish guy, so when I met him I thought, 'Ah, what a great start, Mustaine!' But when I heard him play, it was truly incredible. I had seen some videos but hadn't seen him live. But I knew some guys who had already played with him.”

Regarding why he no longer talks about politics:

“The last time I said something about politics was about a guy who had a sick daughter, he had a daughter who was very, very sick – not like the flu, but something really bad like a birth defect – and he had to drop out of the campaign, and I said that was good. And all the idiots in the media said I had supported the guy. And I never supported him. I didn't know him, I had never spoken to him. He just had a sick daughter and he dropped out of the campaign and I said 'good'. Because I'm a father! So I'm not going to say who I think would be a good president. I have to say, looking at the people running for president in the US, I'm scared. Because there doesn't seem to be anyone who has much experience.”

Dave Mustaine also gave a lengthy statement about the current popularity of Metal , which can be read here.
