Bruce Dickinson is about to release his next solo album, The Mandrake Project , after almost twenty years without releasing any music. Scheduled for release on March 1st, the singles “Afterglow of Ragnarok” and “Rain on the Graves” are already available.

Wikimetal participated in an online press conference with journalists from across Latin America and was able to learn more details about the upcoming record.

Regarding the vocalist's next project, the website asked what he liked most about the entire process involved in The Mandrake Project : “What I like, the two things I like most are having the ideas, the inspirations, and the stories behind the songs. I like, I like this process. And then we'll move on to listening to the album when it's finished and thinking, 'wow, that was amazing.'”

“Because in the middle there’s a whole world of uncertainty and hard work and scratching your head and being in the studio and pushing little buttons to make things happen, which I know you have to do. But it’s not as exciting as the initial moment of creation. But the rest comes in the package, unfortunately, to get it, to get in there, it’s one thing, it’s like making a baby, you know? I mean, yeah, I mean, the initial event is like, ‘yes!’. And then you have to wait nine months and then it gets better.”

In addition to the album, the vocalist will also release a comic book in partnership with Z2 Comics, created by Dickinson, written by Tony Lee , and illustrated by Staz Johnson .

He is also preparing for a tour that will come to Brazil and will pass through seven cities in the country, namely: Curitiba (April 24), Porto Alegre (April 25), Brasília (April 27), Belo Horizonte (April 28), Rio de Janeiro (April 30), Ribeirão Preto (May 2) and São Paulo (May 4).
