A video shows the exact moment the stage was destroyed by the tsunami
More than 2,000 people died and hundreds were injured after a tsunami struck the coast of Indonesia on Saturday. Among the victims were members of a rock band called Seventeen . The wave swept over the stage during a performance.
According to Reuters , four members of the band died: bassist M. Awal “Bani” Purbani , guitarist Herman Sikumbang , road manager Oki Wijaya , and crew member Ujang . The band's drummer is missing.
A video posted on Twitter captured the exact moment the tsunami destroyed the stage, taking the band and audience members with it.
Donations to help the victims can be made through Oxfam , which already provides assistance in Indonesia.
