The São Paulo-based band In Vida presents Awakening (NG Music), a concept album divided into two volumes – the first part was released in April and revealed five tracks from the project. The album, conceived between 2022 and 2024 during a period of introspection and creative immersion, features compositions born from personal experiences, encounters with natural medicines, and intense spiritual research. The result is a repertoire of 11 songs that narrate the emotional journey of the fictional character YOD .
Awakening proposes a symbolic journey through themes such as self-knowledge, pain, healing, and transcendence. With lyrics in English, each track represents a step in YOD's trajectory. The work delves into references ranging from Jungian psychology, Stoic philosophy, Tibetan Buddhism, and ancestral traditions to cyberpunk universes, mixing past and future in its visual and sonic narrative.
Musically, the album, produced by Tiago Della Vega, fuses the heaviness of modern metal, trap beats, electronic atmospheres, and tribal elements, with influences ranging from bands like Bring Me the Horizon , Linkin Park – which In Vida pays homage to in tribute shows –, Spiritbox , Sleep Token , and Bad Omens . The vocals range from visceral to melodic, while arrangements combine organic and digital timbres, mantras, indigenous chants, and ethereal atmospheres.

About In Life
In Vida is a band founded in São Paulo that navigates between modern metal and contemporary influences, mixing elements of trap and nuances of pop, with lyrics in English. In addition to its modern sound, In Vida incorporates cultural and spiritual elements into its compositions, using Hindu and Buddhist mantras and indigenous songs.
The first album, Reflexões , was released in 2012, followed by several singles over the years, such as “Acredite” (2015), “Forças para Lutar” (2016), “Você Sabe” – in homage to Chester Bennington – (2017), “Último Segundo” (2017), “O que será de nós” (2018) and “EGO” (2024). Now the band presents the album Awakening , released in two parts.
Among the highlights of their career are: in 2016 the band performed at the official launch of the film Suicide Squad , organized by Warner Pictures Brazil, and participated in the line-up of the Virada Cultural in São Paulo. In 2017, they were finalists in the 89 FM Peneira contest. Furthermore, for the past eight years they have been performing a Linkin Park tribute show at Manifesto Bar.
