Angra has confirmed the end of their 7-month hiatus and their return to the stage with a special tour dedicated to the album Holy Land, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The band made the announcement through social media, highlighting that, from the beginning, the idea was never to definitively end their activities, but rather to return at the right time. The return also marks a symbolic date, the 30th anniversary of the album Holy Land, released in 1996. In the statement, Angra emphasized that revisiting this work goes beyond playing a classic album live—it's about reconnecting with the band's creative roots and the identity built throughout their career.
Read the statement below:
“Today we celebrate three decades of one of the most important chapters in our history… and with that, we announce something special: Angra's return to the stage! After a period of pause, reflection, and reconnection with our origins, we're returning in the second half of the year for a tour dedicated to Holy Land. An album that remains alive in the music, on stage, and in every fan who has been part of this journey. More than revisiting a classic, this tour will be a reunion with our roots, with our essence, and with all of you who have walked with us for so many years. The journey continues. See you on the road.”
Angra had announced a hiatus in August 2025 after the end of the 20th anniversary tour for the album Temple of Shadows. The decision was motivated by exhaustion after years of intense work and the members' desire to dedicate themselves to personal projects. According to Rafael Bittencourt, the hiatus would last 2 to 3 years.
