This was the fourth show during their tour in Brazil.
Last Friday, the 2nd, Foo Fighters gathered more than 20,000 people at Pedreira Paulo Leminski in Curitiba, Paraná, for another show on their tour with Queens of the Stone Age. On that occasion, the band led by Dave Grohl dared to take a different approach with their cover set, presenting a mash-up of John Lennon's classic "Imagine" with Van Halen's "Jump." A visual record of the moment can be seen below.
The tour through Brazil included five performances, starting in Rio de Janeiro on February 25th, passing through São Paulo, Curitiba, and ending in Porto Alegre last Sunday, the 4th. All performances featured an opening act by the Brazilian band Ego Kill Talent, followed by the two rock giants. Both American bands recently released albums: Villains (2017) for Queens of the Stone Age, and Concrete and Gold (2017) for Foo Fighters.
Wikimetal was present at both shows of the tour in São Paulo. And the performances had some unusual moments: at the first show , Grohl called a couple onto the stage and arranged a marriage proposal; at the second , a lucky fan celebrated his 17th birthday by playing "Under Pressure" with the ex-Nirvana frontman's band.
