The assault was filmed by fans in the audience.
This past weekend, Josh Homme, frontman of Queens Of The Stone Age, kicked a photographer during a band performance in Los Angeles.
Photographer Chelsea Lauren stated that the assault was "obviously very intentional" and completely unprovoked, and that Homme was even smiling before kicking her.
After releasing a statement claiming it was an accident, the vocalist published a second apology, this time in video format.
“I want to apologize to Chelsea Lauren. I have no reason to justify what I did. I was an idiot and I'm truly sorry. I hope you're okay. I've made a lot of mistakes in my life and last night was definitely one of them.”
The musician also apologized to his family, fans, and bandmates for his behavior.
