Impavid Prologue B-Sides this Thursday, the 20th , concluding the era of their debut album Prologue (2021), which is now two years old. The work, featuring unreleased tracks and versions, made available via Wikimetal Music , is the first under the group's new name, formerly Impavid Colossus.
The band revealed that the songs went through remastering and remixing processes: “We write, produce, and record a lot of music all the time. When we made our first album, we ended up choosing 12 songs, and some were left out. Maybe at the time we thought some of them wouldn't fit in the project, but we always keep everything we do.”.
The EP, through well-crafted and thoughtful melodies and lyrics, explores influences from metal, grunge, and punk rock. "We think we managed to combine these genres, which we feel most comfortable with, in a very unique way. If you listen to one of our songs, you'll also notice the care we put into the production and live performance.".
Prologue B-Sides prepares the ground for the group's next album, and news will be released soon. The project, which features drummer Betto Cardoso from Project46 , is considered a watershed moment for Impavid. Work on their second album began in August 2021 and was recorded between October 2022 and January 2023. After filtering through more than 50 songs, the work is finished, but there is still no release date.
