Igor Cavalera talks about Korn's influence on Sepultura

Check out the comment

Drummer Igor Cavalera spoke in an interview on the show Do You Know Jack? this week, commenting on Korn's influence on Sepultura. Igor's response aligns with comments made by Jonathan Davis last week regarding the album "Roots." Davis had stated that the Sepultura classic is "a blatant copy of Korn .

Igor commented:

“They really influenced us. Not only them, but Deftones at the time had a particularly interesting sound for us, which is one of the reasons we called producer Ross Robinson to work with us. Because he manages to capture that raw sound of the time, which was really cool. These bands influenced us on “Roots,” but I think there was a lot more to it than that. So I think it was a combination of different elements. When you have someone like Carlinhos Brown on the album, who is a great Brazilian percussionist, or someone like Mike Patton, there's a lot more to that album.”.
