Iggy Pop - punk series

Iggy Pop will be an executive producer on the documentary series Punk.

Those who participated in interviews for the Punk included: Dave Grohl, John Lydon, Debbie Harry, Flea, Marky Ramone, and more.

Iggy Pop will be the executive producer of the upcoming four-part series Punk . With designer John Varvatos also on board, the project aims to tell the "quintessential story of punk".

The Stooges legend is on the list of artists who gave exclusive interviews for the series. John Lydon [ Sex Pistols ], Dave Grohl , Debbie Harry and Chris Stein [ Blondie ], Marky Ramone , Jello Biafra [ Dead Kennedys ], Duff McKagan [ Guns N' Roses ] and Flea [ Red Hot Chili Peppers ] were others who contributed to Punk .

The Epix channel released a statement about the series, which premieres on March 11th. “It features original interviews with punk pioneers in America and the UK. Alongside a series of never-before-seen or rare archival photos, films and videos, Punk explores the music, fashion, art and DIY attitude of the self-described misfit and helpless subculture.”

Varvatos added in his statement, “Exploring and reliving the history of punk has been an absolute labor of love. Punk’s ability to transcend generations in culture, music, and style is a story that needs to be told. So… Hey Ho Let’s Go!!”
