In an interview with Metal XS, Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice spoke about his relationship with Ritchie Blackmore. Paice revealed that he no longer trusts the guitarist, saying that "trust is like virginity, once lost, it's lost forever.".
Dismissing the possibility of a reunion with the original guitarist, Paice said: "It was great working with Ritchie Blackmore, but I don't think I would ever trust him as a band member again.".
Regarding Blackmore's attitude, Paice said that the guitarist lived in a world 100% dedicated to himself, "and that's not right, it should be a world in keeping with Deep Purple."
