Guitarist Glenn Tipton is absent from the Judas Priest tour

In an interview with the Spanish magazine Metal Journal Judas Priest bassist Ian Hill discussed whether he can imagine the band continuing without himself, Glenn Tipton , and vocalist Rob Halford .

“Well, that’s the kind of thing you don’t know until it happens, right? We have to wait and see about that. And it’s not up to us; it’s more up to the fans than anything else – whether they’re going to accept it or not. It’s up to them, really – not us.”

Hill was also asked if he expects Andy Sneap Firepower album tour ends . “Andy obviously has his other career, which is as a music producer. And this tour will continue next year, so we have plenty of time to start thinking about it. So we'll see where we are at the end. We'll see.”

Sneap is filling in for Glenn Tipton on tour. The guitarist is absent due to the progression of Parkinson's disease. Tipton, now 70 years old, has played on every Judas Priest album since 1974, and although he recorded the latest album, he is unable to play an entire show, making only sporadic appearances on some songs.

The band will come to Brazil for a show with Alice In Chains . Read more here .
