I Prevail only became famous because of a cover by Taylor Swift; remember?

The metalcore band exploded onto the scene with a cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space"

Not long ago, the members of the metalcore band I Prevail were working regular jobs and rehearsing in a warehouse.

At the end of 2014, hoping to gain some traction in the difficult market, they recorded a cover of Taylor Swift ." Unexpectedly, the cover exploded and the video went viral, introducing the band to metal fans and an army of Swifties as well.

The song reached number 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 23 on the US Mainstream Rock Charts. This led the band to release their first two singles, "Love, Lust, and Liars" and "The Enemy." The following year, they debuted with the EP Heart vs. Mind .

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune , lead singer Brian Burkheiser said it was unbelievable and that they only have gratitude for the singer's fans. "There are a lot of people who like to criticize any kind of music. But we're the band that says, 'If you're a Taylor Swift fan, we're not going to find it wrong.'"
