On the afternoon of Thursday, the 15th, the American band I Prevail announced the departure of vocalist Brian Burkheiser . The singer had been the frontman for over 10 years.
In a statement published on their social media , the group revealed that the singer's departure was a mutual decision. The band expressed gratitude for the 10 years shared with Burkheiser and wished him success in his future projects.
In the statement, I Prevail announced that Eric Vanlerberghe will continue as the lead vocalist, with Dylan Bowman providing backing vocals live. Bowman had previously filled this role in earlier shows in Brian's absence.
Nevertheless, the members assured that they will maintain the characteristic energy of their performances and continue playing their repertoire as they always have. Furthermore, the band confirmed that all scheduled shows will take place as planned .
With the statement, I Prevail also took the opportunity to confirm rumors that new music is on the way.

OI Prevail was confirmed as an act at Bangers Open Air 2025 , a Brazilian festival that took place on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the city of São Paulo.
Through an official statement , the band informed their fans and the Bangers Open Air organization that, due to personal circumstances, their participation in the festival had become impossible. The group made a point of acknowledging the efforts of the event's team in trying to reverse the situation, stating that the festival was accommodating and did everything in its power to make the show happen.
Amidst the various rumors circulating about the reasons for the cancellation, the situation took an unexpected turn with the official announcement of Burkheiser's departure. Upon cancelling their participation in the festival, the group promised Brazilian fans a tour to make up for the wait.
